Wim, this is the first time I've come across your site. I was doing research to consider building the Hawk carrier. Just seeing your model has satisfied the urge in me to build one. I would imagine its the only one in the world! You did a fantastic job. The whole suite of Hawk system components is masterful. Your work is an inspiration. Like you I love scratchbuilding and "rectifying" vintage kits. Keep up the good work.
A kindred spirit, Mike G.

I build 1/25 and 1/24 scale US tanks and Vehicles There are very few kits. I have made IMAI M-5 with Long Tom and a scratch built High Speed tractor M-6 with a V-12 that can be seen from rear that towed The barrel of the Black Dragon 203mm. it is a longer version of the M-5. I also modified R/C 1/24 scale Sherman added a bulldozer blade on it. I made a resin spot light truck with a 43 Chevy cab, I tried to make a Holmes Wrecker a larger version with a resin Diamond T cab. But it was very hard to find all the winch parts .Any others out there that build this larger scale? I'm in the Arizona desert USA

I'm selling my collection of Adams, Snap, UPC, Lifelke, and Peerless kits. Let me know if you are interested. Bob Skladany, Boston, Massachusetts firstname.lastname@example.org

I really admire your work, these are the models I tried to build as a kid. The Sky Sweeper is not a model for a 9 year old! BTW I worked with an engineer who, when he was in the US Army was a technician who maintained the Sky Sweeper.
Best Regards and have a great New Year!

A very nice site indeed and I recently got several finished and still boxed kits from my dad including Renwal and Monogram 1:48 airplane kits from the past. I'm looking forward building them and this site provides very nice background information.
